waiting for forever.

When you are wrong, where do you run? There is only one place where your heart can be healed, restored, satisfied, and protected. It won’t be healed by winning human wars. It won’t be satisfied in human acceptance. It won’t be restored when you have meted out vengeance. It will only be filled, satisfied, and at rest when it is filled with the beauty of the Lord.

God is the ultimate helper. He alone has the grace to rescue you from yourself. What does this mean? He gives you the power to deal with all sins of thought and desire that get in the way of your doing what God has called you to do.

When your hope is in the Lord, when you are getting your inner sense of well-being and security from him, when he is the reason you continue even when things are hard, then you are building your life on something that is reliable and sure. When you are waiting on the Lord, you have placed your hope in one who is the ultimate source of everything that’s wise, good, and true. When you wait for the Lord, you are placing your safety in the hands of one whose power is immeasurable. When you wait for the Lord, you are getting your comfort from one whose love is boundless. When you wait for the Lord, you can be secure in the reality that he rules over all things. When you wait for the Lord, you can live with confidence because you know that every one of his promises is true. When you wait for the Lord, you can be hopeful even in weakness because you know that his grace is sufficient.

Lord, do in, with, and through me what You think is best and I will follow, and when your wisdom and grace require it, I will be willing to wait.
